June Showcase Performance: “Broadway”: June 24 & 25, 2025
Our June performance showcases all of our dancers from age 3 years through adult, featuring dances in ballet, jazz, hip-hop, lyrical and acrobatics.
Dates and Times: Tuesday & Wednesday, June 24 & 25 6:00 PM– 8:00 PM. Theater doors open at 5:00 PM. Dancers need to be backstage, in costume, hair and make-up ready to dance by 5:30 PM.
Venue: Both performances are held at the Jackson Theater in Sonoma Country Day School. 4400 Day School Place, Santa Rosa 95403 (located across from the Airport Health Club)
Tickets: Tickets can be purchased at Windsor Dance Academy before May 1 for $16. After May 1, tickets are $18. You can also purchase tickets at the theater on June 24 & 25 prior to show time.
Dress Rehearsal in Theater: Tuesday, June 24, 2025. Times to be announced. Please have your dancer in costume (make-up not necessary), ready to dance at the theater by your appointed time. Wait in the audience until called upon to dance. Your dancer will practice 2 times. You are free to leave when your dancer is finished. You may take pictures and videos at the theater at this time. No videos or cameras allowed in the theater during the performances.
Photo Session: Pictures will be taken in class the week of Monday, June 16 – Saturday, June 24. Dancers come to class on their regular day and time in costume for in studio rehearsal and photo session. No videos or pictures may be taken in class during the photo session. (Studio Closed Monday, June 23)
Performance Picture and Videos: Pictures and videos may be taken during Dress Rehearsal Only! No videos or pictures may be taken during the performances. Performance videos will be taken by R2 Productions and purchased through our professional videographer, Rob Russell.
Costumes: I choose the costumes that best suits your dancer’s part. The costumes are ordered from companies on the East Coast. It takes 10-12 weeks for delivery. I will be ordering costumes direct from the factories again this year.
AUDITON FOR “Santa’s Workshop” SHOW
- Audition: Monday Sept. 23, 2024 in Studio B from 5:30 – 6:00 pm
This is a placement audition. Everyone will be cast in a part.
Dancers that Do Not attend the audition Will Not be cast in a part. No Exceptions!
- Rehearsal: Your dancer will have a weekly rehearsal. Rehearsals Times:TBA
- Missed Rehearsal: This is a commitment. There are 12 rehearsals before the show. It is imperative that everyone comes to rehearsal every week. Your dancer will be cut from their part on the 3rd missed rehearsal.
- Practice at Home: Rehearsing at the studio is not enough! Dancers are required to practice at home!
- Show Dates: TBA. The show will be one of the first 3 weekends in December. Either on a Saturday or Sunday. I’m waiting to hear back from theaters as to availability. I will let you know as soon as I know the date.
- Costumes: I have costumes that are used each year for this show. Each dancer is responsible for keeping their costume clean and all accessories together.
- Tan Cami Leotard: All dancers are responsible for purchasing their tan cami leotard, tights and dance shoes. Color of tights and style of shoes depends on what part your dancer is cast into. I do have leotard and tights for purchase.
- Returning Costumes: Due January 15, 2025. Parents will be charged $70 for a non-returned costume. Everyone Must Dry Clean Their Costume Or Clean With Dryell Before Returning!!!
- Tuition: Rehearsal time is added onto regular tuition. You receive the price break for the total number of classes and rehearsal combined.
- Regular Classes: Everyone must continue in their regular dance classes. Rehearsal time doesn’t replace class time.
- Silent Auction: Please let me know if you have items to donate.
- Volunteers: Parent volunteers are needed to help backstage, sell tickets, usher & set up silent auction. Please let me know if you would like to sign up. Your help is greatly appreciated!!
- Tickets: Advance Tickets: $13 / At the Door $15. General Admission for ages 3 yrs. & Up. Proceeds benefit our Dance Scholarship Program.
